  My 3 year old son was extremely leery of the dentist and all previous visits at other dentists were complete failures. Very stressful for me as he screamed, cried and resisted. However, our first visit at WVPD in Surprise was a delight. The staff were all patient and caring with my son and his fears and for the first time he actually sat for the dental exam and did fluoride. The TVs on the screen were a big distractor for him, allowing the exam to be completed while he zoned out in TV land (thank goodness!). By our second visit I was amazed that they were able to get him to take X-Rays of his teeth and the visit went even better than the first time. By the third visit he was a pro, being very comfortable and completely relaxed and compliant with all the requests from the dentist and dental tech. I was amazed. My daughter's first dental appointment (1 year) was at this office and she is off to a Great start! She has zero fears of the dentist and looks forward to the visit -- both kids now have a hard time agreeing over who will wait their turn since both want to be first on the chair for their cleaning and exam! My favorite part of this office is the staff and their great demeanor around my kids. My kids' favorite part is the coin they receive at the end of their visit where they get to pick out a prize from the vending machines (like the coin operated ones you see when you exit a grocery store, etc) It is always exciting for them to choose their own price, put the coin in the machine and turn the knob until the prize is dispensed. We leave happy and with clean teeth. I can't recommend this dental practice enough!
